You will discover how this simple practice offers powerful personal transformation.
Restorative Yoga & Wellness is a wonderful way to address and balance many issues, including physical, mental and emotional. It can be a valuable tool to de-stress from our often hectic lifestyle, to assist those working with injuries, conditions such as high blood pressure, adrenal and chronic fatigue and is particularly useful for women’s health and for pregnant women. This form of wellness uses supported postures/shapes that facilitate the passive release of tension stored in the body, activates the parasympathetic nervous system, and allow for deep, nourishing rest.
Everyone has stress in their lives in some form or other, and always will. We are human after all!
We are too often discussing managing our stressors — the things that we feel create stress. Stressors will always exist in our life, and it is our inability to process stress effectively that wreaks havoc in our lives. We have a window of tolerance to describe the optimal zone of arousal for a person to function in everyday life. Stressors, both good (like healing work and working out) and bad (like arguments or tension), can still occur when you’re within this window, but, with the tools provided in this course, you & those lucky enough you may be sharing with, will be better able to tolerate the discomfort, and able to respond, instead of reacting.
In this course, you will learn how to build resiliency in the nervous system. And as a yoga teacher how to implement and share this in your restorative classes. Or as a healthcare / social worker, midwife/doula or therapist, you will gain new tools to offer your clients or patients, or for your own resiliency and emotional well-being.
This training is suitable for individuals wishing to gain personal development for balancing emotions and gaining homeostasis in their life.
The vagus nerve is the longest cranial nerve, wandering from your brain to your large intestine. It connects the gut and brain and communicates information using neurotransmitters and plays a vital role in sleep, mood, pain, stress, and hunger. The vagus nerve supports the regulation of your body’s basic functions like breathing, your heartbeat, and the dilation of your eyes & is known as the ‘soul’ nerve. You will discover specific vagal toning exercises that help you digest deep emotion while promoting overall emotional regulation. Within this course, you will be able to open your window of tolerance to effectively manage stress, regulate emotions, discover aids to decrease chronic pain, and begin living with intention and mindfulness and then share within your community.
This training and accessible approach for all, will give you all of the skills and understanding you need to confidently practice, teach or share restorative yoga or nervous system regulating and balancing tools.
Curriculum Outline:
Each day, you’ll get new knowledge about the nervous system, a tool to stimulate your vagus nerve, and time to relax and reflect upon and shift your perspective.

A little about the trainer Rosie Wiliams:
Greetings. My over 20-year path of yoga and wellness growth has led me to focus on our internal medicine to quiet and calm the mind and reset the nervous systems. With over 1000 hours of training throughout the past 2 decades, my intention is to continue the path of learning, experiencing and teaching. I am so honoured to share with you, this beautiful essence of wellness.
My yoga path has enabled me to stay balanced through my own journey of mountain sports, motherhood, physical injury, and mental well-being. Along with the calming classes I love to guide these trainings to expand the wonderful world of wellness into our communities. My teachings are rooted in mindful movement and space for the physical, emotional and mental bodies to reset. I guide a lot of slow-paced styles such as Restorative, and Yin Yoga that offers you the time to stretch, open and deeply relax your nervous system and bring about a state of harmonization and homeostasis. When I am not learning and guiding, I am also teaching teachers and am always so humbled to be part of these communities.
I invite you to feel all the feels and nourish your wholesome self. With Metta, Rosie.
